Static Load Frame
Static testing evaluates the ability of the seat assembly to react flight and emergency landing loads to show compliance with 14 CFR §§ 23.561, 25.561, 27.561, & 29.561.
In addition to seats, large monuments such as partitions, galleys, and cabinets must also be tested to show compliance with safety requirements.
This can be done by either dynamic or static testing. The structures will be subjected to ultimate loads to show the effects of deformation are not significant to the integrity of the structure.
